What is TSTS?
The Turku Social and Health Sciences Students Association, or more commonly known as TSTS , represents health sciences students at Turku University of Applied Sciences. It encompasses over 1,600 future professionals in the field.
The association is run by ordinary students in their free time. Any health student can join!
The association's most important tasks are to look after the interests and rights of students in all these fields , both in Turku and Salo.
In addition to this, TSTS acts as a community , bringing together health students, regardless of their field!
TSTS organizes numerous different events throughout the year, collaborates with the school to maintain the level of education , clothes incoming students in overalls , and maintains an office in the ICT basement.
TSTS is a registered association and was founded in its current form in 2007. However, we believe that our roots go back to 1946, when our predecessor, the student union of the Turku Nursing Institute, was founded.
When the association was founded, social workers were also under the TSTS, which is why the social fields are mentioned in the association's name. Today, social workers and oral health students have their own associations, and TSTS's membership consists of students from other health fields.
